Hydropore is successfully scaling up its process to produce tens of grams of activated zinc per minute. Our proprietary activated zinc is utilized at the cathode of Hydropore’s two-step water electrolyzer for green hydrogen production.

Hydropore has secured a $400,000 award from the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA). This pre-seed funding will be used to demonstrate the feasibility and scalability of Hydropore’s innovative two-step water-splitting process, which effectively decouples the evolution of hydrogen (H2) and oxygen (O2), while also storing renewable energy. UPenn has received a $50,000 Innovation Corps (I-Corps) grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF) to assist in transitioning their technology from the lab to the market in collaboration with Hydropore.
